First Page Of The Internet Is Now 23 Years Old | Check It Out

Today, lets rewind the time and go to the very first day of internet. It is now more than two decades after the first web page of the internet was launched. I know you are too curious to check out what the web looked like back in 1991, right ? But the question is it still live ? Can you still check it out ? And the answer is YES! you can.

first page of the internet
Fortunately, CERN has preserved that original site for your perusing pleasure. The first page of the internet was created by Tim Berners-Lee on a NeXT computer. Talking about the site, it was a place to find information about the new and exciting World Wide Web – and it was describe as “a wide-area hypermedia information retrieval initiative aiming to give universal access to a large universe of documents.”

The preserved version of the web page has been around for quite around some time, but the page is not an exact replica. According to CERN, the page is a copy from 1992, and that “changes were made daily to the information available on the page as the WWW project developed.”
Unfortunately, there us no screenshots of the first page of the internet present. As being the first web page, it’s lacks in modern features such as images
Analyzing the web page we come to know how much the web has grown over the time, and with all modern features we can see the difference between today’s web pages and the very first page of the internet.
