Nokia 1100 May Return With Android 5.0 Lollipop

One the most popular phone, Nokia 1100, may return with Android 5.0 Lollipop in 2016. Nokia 1100 was launched in 2003 and was claimed to be the world’s most popular phone. Nokia  still holds the record of selling over 250 millions units of Nokia 1100. And few year after. Nokia was facing hard times when a lot of Android Smartphones came with more and more feature and the company was sold to Microsoft.
But now we have Nokia 1100 was spotted at a benchmark listing on the popular site Geekbanch. This was 1st spotted by Nokia Power User, the Nokia 1100’s Geekbench browser benchmark results show the handset running on Android 5.0 Lollipop while including a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 Processor. The listed Nokia 1100 handset is seen featuring a 512 MB of RAM. It is also expect seen that this Nokia 1100 will feature a HD Display (1280 x 720 pixels resolution).
Considering that Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s Devices and Services business stipulates that Nokia can no longer use its brand on smartphones till Q4 2016, and on feature phones for 10 years, this Nokia is likely to come after Q4 2016.
As of now, apart from the above details we don’t have any other details about other specifications. But as this was just a leak, it could also not happen to be true.
But considering that, earlier this year Nokai N1 Tablet with Android 5.0 Lollipop launched in China in January 2015. This leak about Nokia 1100 could still be true. And the legendary Nokia 1100 may return on 2016.
